Subwoofer for the G : Cyber monday help

I'm looking for a self powered 10 or 12" subwoofer box/amp combo for my g35 coupe. Looking for around $200, nothing more than $250. I have the stock BOSE sound system and just want a little bump in the bass, nothing insane just crisp and clear bass. Ill probably remove the rear 6x9's and leave the holes in the rear deck open (grills covering them) so the sound can come into the cabin. I want a self powered all enclosed one so i can easily remove and reinstall when tracking the car or taking it up snowboarding. Need help asap since cyber Monday is already halfway over.

Any opinions on the best self powered sub/amp combo for under/around $200? Thanks!

Also do I need to look for a 2ohm sub or is a 4ohm ok?

here are two i was looking at, leaning towards the smaller one since i do like my trunk space.

That's my first time seeing a self powered speaker box. Only thing I could say is measure your trunk to see if it would fit and make sure u can wire it up correctly.. U might need to ask Wrathernaut I hope i spelled it right, but he should be able to tell u more about how the wiring is with that. By the way nice looking ride bro

I wouldn't really put RF in the crisp and clear bass category (P3's start to come close), but if you're looking to add bump to rap, either will work, since rap really doesn't need anything particularly accurate. The 10" will be much easier to swap in and out, since it has a built-in amp.

Either will easily overpower the bose system. I'd really recommend some quality components and an amp for before throwing a sub in the car, as you may be satisfied with the bass from some good 6.5" components and not have to bother with anything in the trunk. I've gone weeks without my subwoofer with only some good components in the doors and enjoyed the audio.

What's your real budget, and what music do you listen to? If it's rock, alternative or classical, components would give you a much better experience than adding a sub to the bose speakers.

With that self powered box, you will most likely get a lot of reverb, or a high pitch squeal. As for rockfords, I have hap p2's and 3's I most likely will never own them again I was super un impressed. I'm running re subs. Those are probably the best set for the price I think. I also run re xxx speakers clean as can be.

Mostly Hip/hop, rap, a tiny bit of techno, but I love having crisp highs, mids, and then a low clear bass. Not necessarily the reverberation factor that you get from a 12" but more of the direct "hit" that you get from a 10". I've already Dyna-matted the entire car which helped a ton.

Any other options, honestly the stock bose sub is enough on SOME songs but most songs the bass is really lacking. Especially on the way out to the bars or clubs when you are trying to get pumped up

I'd still say go for the components first, then get a powered 10" later.

What brand of components would you recommend. from the research i've done if you replace any speakers you have to replace them with 2ohm ones which are expensive for nice ones.

since you wanted to save some money. That jlw1 is gonna sound better than those two subs you listed and wont be allot of money either. I have heard this sub in a 350z with the oem bose. Sounded pretty good.

Nope, 4 ohm or 3 ohm speakers work fine.

Image Dynamics CTX-65CS are awesome components for the price. I'd say you have to spend double the cost for any significant gain over them.
