iPod straight into bose amp

I asked this question before and it got locked, but mainly because I believe the moderator didn't understand my question.

I want to run an iPod straight into the bose amp. Completely bypassing the stock radio. I do NOT want to use a pac-nis2, oem2, etc.

Is there a way to wire up something straight into the bose amp? Obviously the head unit is sending signal into the amp, which in turn sends it into the speakers so that/s why I am asking.

Would an aux wired into the speaker wire that goes into the amp do the trick? Or would I need a few more things?

Basically

Ipod>*some sort of DIY wiring*>bose amp>speakers.

If you still are confused, then this is how I would do it with an aftermarket amp, since it would be easier.

Ipod > Auxillary cable with 2 male rca on the end > plug aux into iPod > plug rca into amp > music. but obviously the bose amp doesn't have RCA inputs. Thats where I'm stumped

No, it won't work well, if at all. The bose headunit sends a differential-balanced signal to the amplifier, which your iPod does not produce, so at best, you'll have a noisy signal with nearly no bass.

If the amp supports differential-balanced signals (like JL Audio amps) then yes, otherwise, you'll get similar audio problems.
