The amp just cut out in my 2003 g35 coupe. If I bought a factory replacement would it be an easy enough job to switch them? If it's not too complicated can anyone explain the steps?

It's under the carpet by the spare. Unplug and unscrew the old one and plug the new one in. Don't do it while the radio is on.
