installing GROM install ('04 Sedan non-Bose)

Haven't started the process yet. At present I'm estimating how much time to set-aside to add the GROM iPod/Bluetooth modules.

Do you have to physically remove the whole head-unit from the console in order to access the molex receptacle where the GROM connects, or can you reach it with just one or both of the console side panels removed?

I'm hoping to access it by just removing the side of the console in the driver's footwell and reaching around behind the head unit. Is this possible? I'd rather not have to pull the clock console, the glovebox, trim, and head unit. I have three broken fingers right now so everything is a PITA :/

thanks in advance.
