If you drive alone most of the time, do you think rear speakers add to your listening experience enough to justify replacing the stockers?
I've replaced all but the rear side/rear deck speakers and I'm wondering if I should even bother. Right now I'm running MB Quart Q series components up front and 2 JL Audio 10s in the trunk.

 

I dont think you should bother. I'd unhook them and let the bass play through and let the components do their job. If anything people say the rears fill in the mids but yoru components are awesome and you shouldnt have a problem.

Then again i'm not a true audiophile so take my advice with a grain of salt.

 

I only use the rear for 5.1 dts music. Otherwise, if you listen to stereo, don't bother with the rear speaker. majority of the time, i just listen to stereo setup therefore no nee for the rear.

if youre listening to stereo music, and you have the right speakers with the right power, you will be ok without rears. you will be able to create a good soundstage in front of you. (=imaging) Some people will always prefer the rear fill though.

I would rather spend my money on a better pair of components and a better amp to drive them

 

It really depends on what you like. If you like to be submerge in the music, then I think it's need. But if you like music coming at you, then you don't.
