So when i first had the car, the memory seats worked flawlessly.

A few months ago, i noticed that the memory seats no longer work. I save my settings, the [1] button lights up solid and when i change settings and try to go back to [1], nothing happens.

Same with the button on the back of the seat to make the seats go forward. They used to bring the seat back to where it was saved, but now it just moves back a couple inches.

Could it be the compustar 2 way alarm that I installed about a year ago? I didn't check the memory seat function right after the install as I rarely use it, but recently, i've been sharing the g35 with my brother and it gets pretty annoying having to adjust the seats and steering wheel.

Mine stops working every once in a while at random, after a day it works fine.

Try programming to the remote - after you hit the set, then the number, push the unlock button on the remote fob. I don't think I've ever had the buttons on the seat do anything except when they've been programmed to the remote. Both fobs can be programmed this way, definitely make sharing it with your brother easier.

Followed the steps, but no luck. Right when i press the unlock key on the fob, the light on the preset button on the seats will blink rapidly but then after that, they do nothing again.

So when the lights go off on those preset buttons (1,2), if I try to press them again, they don't even light up. They only light up when I press SET then one of the presets buttons.

Anything else I can try? May be a blown fuse somewhere? (Not sure where it is though)
Maybe the compustar installer screwed up some wiring? (Any pics of where to check if it's messed up?)

I brought it back to my friend who installed the compustar alarm and he said the alarm doesn't even require splicing with the memory seats wires, he told me to bring it to the dealer... Not sure if i want to pay the dealership to diagnose this...

From a couple weeks of research, I am pretty sure it is the circuit board... which is probably not cheap to buy and replace.

Probably the easiest way is to just find an entire seat from the junkyard.

I had this problem with a previous car, after that the seat stopped working, it was the computer or board under the seat whatever you want to call it

hmmm... just based on that Id say its part 28565 seat control module...there are tons of possible suffixes depending on your model year. For my 04 g35x its looking like its 28565-AC700. Ill have to double check numbers with the dealer but hopefully a local junk yard will sell it to me for like 50 bucks.
