single Din flip up in dash dvd 2005 g35

single Din flip up in dash dvd 2005 g35

Hey guys im a new g35 owner and new to this forum. I was just wondering if it is possible to put a in dash flip up dvd in the 2005 g35 coupe because from what ive seen i havent seen any. i have only see the flush ones. thanks

There's a reason you don't see them installed - Yes it's possible, but it'll flip up right over the HVAC controls if you put it in the top half, and if it's in the bottom half, it'll cover the cubby or whatever you put above it.

So really, there's no reason to do it, unless you've got a really good flip-up unit already, since the flip-up units are prone to mechanical failure, are usually more expensive than their double-din counterparts, and don't look anywhere near as clean.

Install would be the same as any other single-din though:

yeah i was sort of figuring that and the only reason i asked is because i already have a flip up from my old car. its not great so i might as well get the double din because it does look better in my opinion. thanks for the info
