adding aux using xm harness???
adding aux using xm harness???
My sons are driving an 06 G35 Sedan with base audio. They would like to add an audio input for ipod cheaply. They dont have xm. Does anyone know which wires on the 16 pin xm harness are the left and right channel that they could splice a 3.5 mm jack to? There are red black white green and 2 grey wires on one side and then 4 pastel multicolored on the other side.
Thanks in advance

This is pretty cheap and works great. Plus you get BOTH an apple connector and 3.5mm jack.
USA-SPEC PA15-INFI
and functionally identical is the USA SPEC PA15-NIS. Only difference is where you connect these. The INFI plugs into the XM harness in the trunk, and the NIS plugs directly into the back of the radio.

PM'd, but for anyone else looking:
You need the XM adapter (or something that simulates it) to communicate with the factory radio to switch to that input.
