Rear speakers sound like old boombox!

So this morning I got into my car, when I turned the ignition on, my ipod was still playing(I use a Cassette adapter since my CD is out) i turn the rear defogger panel on, and the heater on full blast since I was freezing, then I heard like a little explosion sound from my rear speakers, then after that, they sounded like old boombox, not like they were blown but like a really low quality sound! but the side speakers sound good, I turn off the stereo and it stopped, but when turn it back on, there was no sound, drove a few miles with no sound from radio, or cassette at all, then after I decided to try it again, it start working again but still with the rear speakers having that bad quality sound. Any idea guys? I have the 04 coupe
Please help, I have so many issues with this car already!

Edit:
I noticed whenever I turn the key to ACC or whatever is called when the stereo comes on, the speaker makes that same loud sound!
this happens every time I turn the key.

Edit 2 : Problem fixed! If you ever go thru this issue, like Weathernaut said, Is the AMP, bought one from a member (thanks dude!) Working 100%
make sure to remove the stereo fuse to eliminate the white noise sound till you get a new amp!

Sounds like the bose amp's fried. You can get a factory replacement, but I'd take the excuse to upgrade to aftermarket.

That pop sounds like a an "amp pop". It basically feeds a jolt of power to the speakers. My guess is the amp is fried and possibly even dc'ing power. Unplug the speakers and hook up a voltage meter to the wires. My guess is smp is toast too. I used to do car audio for a living and it is not uncommon.

yeah! ok so my amp must be the problem, also it just started happening that it plays the music but it cuts every 10 seconds then after a while...(5mins) its just work fine but the music isnt loud like it used to be.
So I'm gonna go ahead and order a new amp and get intalled, hopefully it will fix the problem. BUT, should I stop playing music for now? I don't wanna burn something else. Thanks guys!

If your amp is dc' ing power to the speakers(the white noise possibly) itll cook the voicecoils. In other words itll kill the speakers too. I would unplug them. For how much that amp is i would get an aftermarket one. Rockford makes a small 4 channel that cranks out 75 watts per channel and should fit in the stock location. It is amazing! What city do you live in?

Damn, well ill have to work on that, Thanks for letting me know!
I'm stock on a 2004 coupe, using the silly cassette to play music thru a cassette adapter.
I don't really wanna go for something aftermarket if I don't have to, but if its cheaper then yes!
I'm in Tulsa Oklahoma

Edit: Bose system

A dealer will charge hundreds for a factory replacement amp. A more-or-less direct replacement 6-channel JL amp (needs new power/ground wires run) is about $400 and will be world better in power and clarity, and will drive replacement speakers in the future quite well.

You need more than just wires run. He needs to do a full amp bypass at the factory amp which will cost good money if he doesnt know how to do it himself. The rockford pbr amps are great because You can go high level in AND they can be powered off of 12 gauge wire so install is easy

Wait but on ebay I saw a factory amp for like $79 . Couldn't I just get that and install it myself as a direct replacement?
Cause like I said I really dont want to go aftermarket, I dont need more power or clarity I was happy with my bose system before this .
