Got rear ended, now my bose CD doesnt work. I didnt put two and two together until now. Got hit last friday and thats the same time it stopped working. Now I am getting a CD ERROR FO".

Anyone had this problem before?

Anyone know how to prove to insurance

Possibly check the wiring. I think the amp for the bose system is located in the rear somewhere.

Amp is in trunk to left of spare under a plastic lid. But that shouldn't affect the CD unit if everything else plays.

 

no damage to the amp or wires, Im pretty sure it was just the impact maybe shuffled something around in there. Everything works, just the cd doesnt read.

 

The CD ERR FO is common with the failing radios, I doubt the accident had anything to do with it. Real fix is replacement, since the factory radios in these cars fail spectacularly and often.

 

sorry for bringing this up again but i had the same exact problem and was wondering if you found a fix to it?
