Dim Handbrake Lights

Hey guys I recently bought a 04 sedan that needed a little TLC. She's up and running now but I realized yesterday that the handbrake and battery light are on but they're very dim. When I actually pull up the handbrake it lights up normally. All the other lights that I can activate come on and off quite fine. Is this something I should be concerned about? (The engine light is on for some problems I'm having with the pistons.) Any help would be appreciated.

Low batteries in these cars really cause a mess of random stuff, I'd go to an autozone and get a free battery/alternator checkup first.

Ok, I will. In addition, I changed the high beams today because one side fogs wasn't working and the other high beam wasn't working. After changing them, the left high beam still isnt working. Neither is my left reverse. Could these lighting issues all be linked to the same problem?? I've read on other forums about the reverse light problem could be caused by something faulty in the rubber connection from the body to the trunk.

I left my sunroof open and it rained really bad, water got in to the handbrake. Did the same thing. Got to love random rain in hawaii. It dried and went away.
