Take out Sirius Radio?

Hi, I just got my G35 Coupe 6MT..Black with wheat interior...I'm very excited. It has the Sirius Sattelite radio and I do not really have any use for it. Is it possible to remove it and sell it? Does anyone want it?

Thanks!

How much would you be willing to sell it for?

Just curious why you think anyone would pay $325 for a used, non-warrantied part when it can be purchased new with warranty for <$300.

Depreciation is a cruel thing.

I didn't order it. It just so happens that this is the only black car they have right now. I can't wait a few weeks for another car to arrive since I just moved to Florida... Does anyone know how to take that thing out in the first place?

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Removal

Its located in the trunk, take the carpet out, on the left side of hte spare there are two screws holding down the large plastic piece you should be able to see. Take those two screws out and remove the plastic console. One you've removed that, you can see the bose amp if you have it with the sirius module on top. Mine was double sided tape on with three wire clips on the farthest side. The two single ones are for the antenna which are yellow and green, easily removed. The white harness which leads to the headunit wasn't hard but wasn't as easy as the antenna. The clip is very very small on the wall of the unit, once depressed, should come right off. Remove that and you have the module. Trace the wires to to the antenna to remove it and if you want to remove the harness, its your choice. I left mine as is. Anyway, if you have any removal issues feel free to ask. As far as its sale, one just went on ebay for $242 so wouldn't expect to get anywhere in the 300's. Your kit though so up to you what you want for it.

Good Luck and congrats on the car.

tspree15,
You may just want to put the unit on a shelf somewhere, the next owner of your G may want it, might be an asset if you try to sell your G.
