So i brought my G to a mechanic and he said my domelights were not turning on at all because the BCM was receiving no signal from the domelights, he told me I would need to replace the BCM to fix it but never gave me a quota on the price and hasnt responded to my texts, does anyone got a general idea of how much it would cost to replace a BCM on a 03 G?

 

A lot more than dome lights are worth... if that's the only thing that's not working the BCM doesn't sound like the problem, as a failing BCM leads to a lot more problems than that.

With poor communication like that, I'd also find a new mechanic.

 

Finding a new mechanic seems like a good idea.. gave me some cheap paint for my front lip and overcharged me.. got a small paint chip and then the paint starting peeling off like flakes -_- gets worse and worse the more I drive.

What could be the problem with the dome lights then btw? He checked my fuses and said everything is fine

 

On the limited knowledge on your mechanic I have, I question whether he really checked all 3 fuse boxes, so I'd have somebody else check all of them before assuming it's not a blown fuse.
