ah, that's right!

So then baffle behind the seat isn't so bad after all.

I'd def go that route over the 4080 since IB>small sealed

a rear mounted baffle? what does this entail... my current amp location is right behind the seats... as the only benefit i have with the "seats folding down" is for a ski hole in the centre as there is a large metal rear back rest.

Ha, owned a sedan for a couple years and never attempted to fold down back seat, also would make sense since the rears have reclining!

Baffle is put behind the seat with subs firing in whichever direction you'd like

Firing directly in the cabin would be better, though.

Pros:
Usually the best for SQ
Endless low end extension
99% trunk space retained
Very low power requirement
Ability to use larger woofers

Cons:
Little more effort needs to be put in vs just throwing a box in the trunk

good to know =D looks like options the only concern i have with this setup would be possible damage to the subs by items hitting the sub or poking the subs -- but this would be the quickest cheapest way and be able to keep the subs

You can place another board behind this one if you are that worried.

Could also face the cones toward the trunk and put speaker grills on them

Rattles may increase, though.
