Front bose speaker replacement

Hi! New guy here, I have a 2007 g35 coupe 6MT with the bose package and to me (and from what I read alot of others) they don't sound as good as I'd like them to be. I did a bit of research and saw that it's best to replace the speakers with 2 ohm speakers because of the stock bose amp.

I can get my hands on these:
Amazon.com: Infinity 609CS 270W (Peak) 6-1/2 x 6-3/4 Two-Way Component System Speakers (Pair): Car Electronics Amazon.com: Infinity 609CS 270W (Peak) 6-1/2 x 6-3/4 Two-Way Component System Speakers (Pair): Car Electronics
for a decent price(about $40 less than Amazon) so I was just wondering if the front speakers can be replaced with these. I'm not super experienced when it comes to this sort of stuff, but I've replaced/swapped speakers a few times on different cars.

Thanks.

You need an amp to get enough out of those speakers to make it worth it. They're 90w RMS speakers, while the bose amp puts out, maybe 15w RMS for the speakers.

Thanks for the answer! I figured I'd probably need a new amp anyways, i just want a little bit better sound until I get back home (i'm getting one later and I discovered the previous owner already had the car wired for an amp)

If you add the amp now, you'll get more out of the bose speakers, just don't crank the gain too high. Then add the speakers. It's a more direct upgrade plan, unlike adding speakers that need more power, which may end up sounding worse than the bose speakers. Those Infinity speakers have a high sensitivity, so they may still make the highs and mids you want, but will definitely lack in the lows.

IF you're going to add an amp anyway don't worry about the impedence as much. look at the pioneer TSD components, you won't be disappointed, I promise you. Also if you want something small that will at least double the output of your factory amp check out the alpine power pack, good value and you dont have to take up any space in the trunk and run additional wiring(in most cases).

Alright, looks like i'll look for an amp first then. Thanks again guys

^I've heard of the power pack. Doesn't it only work with alpine head units? I'm keeping the stock one (recently added the pa15 nis ipod hookup)
