Upgrade non bose speakers without amp? (double din installed)

I've got an 03.5 sedan with non bose speakers. I've already done the double din swap and put in a pioneer bhs3500. I really would like new better sounding speakers than these stock junk. I know the ideal way would be powered with an amp, but I really don't have the time or cash to mess with amps. If I just simply replaced the speakers, would that still make a nice difference in sound quality to be worth it?

I Specifically I am looking at infinity Primus PR6500cs components which I can pick up a couple pair for about $200. They have a high sensitivity at 93db, so hopefully the pioneer Hu could power them easily

You're definitely on the right track - high sensitivity two-piece component speakers.

I am not familiar enough with various brands and such to recommend anything in particular though.

I'm only quoting you to get back from our various thread...JBL has a great reputation...the speakers I use in my house surround system are Paradigm.

Now getting back to our last thread. Ended up disconnecting by Bose amp today. I've been dealing with a battery problem. I've got an almost new battery that died on me. Now...while I did the head unit install...the battery was disconnected for quite awhile. I only have a trickle charger so it takes fairly long to bring the battery back up to full charge.

Is there any reason that you know of. That you could not replace that Blose amp with a JBL and keep the stock head unit.

I used to think the guy's that thought that Bose sucked (It is a fairly expensive factory unit....just had a thing about Bose. I am now beginning) (No not beginning...I now know you were right)

Is there any reason not to use a JBL amp through the Clarion head unit!!

Thanks!!!

Just adding this as an after though. Infinity does seem to have a good reputation. However price seems a little cheap.

JBL amps aren't made to accept a differential-balanced audio signal, so you're likely to get a lot of noise and poor audio quality - read this: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...-stock-hu.html

I'm sorry but this is all hard to take!!! I don't need...(sorry just watching the Daytona truck race) OK!!! appears I will need an amp for my head unit. I will not swap out the Bose (Clarion head unit) however I have no price level I will not exceed to get a great amp. I will be driving the Dale Jarrett driving experience at Talladega this year. Will pay your way if you can get me a working amp/head unit!! (Oh you must install...and it must work) Could be great fun...just saying!! 12 laps to go!! This is taken from the window of the restaurant in Chaeta State Park. Just 20 miles from Talladega!!
BlkCoupe your wife would love it!!
