Replacing my 2003.5 G35 sedans speakers with Polk 651/6501's in the doors. The stock built in speaker grills seem like there are very minimal opening for sound. I was thinking of using the grills the speakers came with, but then i would have to cut out the stock door panel, since the grills are build in. Would i benefit anything from doing so? Has anybody done this?

 

I personally wouldnt, at most dremel out the lines in the stock grill? But i get plenty of sound on my components, not factory amplified though either. Just did mine the other day
