Help with Amp & sub plz!

currently i have a alpine MRD-M500 mono amp
it power around 500w @ 2 ohm

i just brought two new 2005 alpine type R SWR-1022D
they are 10"sub 2+2 ohm Dual Voice Coil
Power Handling Capacity (Peak) : 1500W
Power Handling Capacity (RMS) : 500W

will my amp be under power if i run the two subs parallel @ 2 ohm?
or
should i just go with only one 4+4 ohm 10" to run @ 2 ohm?
or
should i get only one 2+2 ohm to run @ 4 ohm?

this is making me crazy!! help!
let me know if u need more info!

Just wire each voice coil up in series to show a 4 ohm load. then wire each speaker up in parallel to pressent a 2 ohm load to the amp. It should work fine.

Yep, thats what I did. I'm running 2 4ohms sub bridged to 2 ohms, I'm pushing both subs with a PPI monoblock amp, rated 800watts @ 2ohms.
