Can I get a 2nd amp without headlight dimming or other issues?

Go with the 4 ohm configuration if that's the case.

Naa lol the amp is $700 on Crutchfield since it is a 5 channel.

I've been reading that 4 ohms can be more efficient than 2 ohms, but like you said, 2 ohms can put out more watts.

Considering that, which would you go with? Sorry I wasn't clear on which you are recommending.

I can fit a 12" in my trunk so I think I may be going for the 12. You said that it may sacrifice some mid-bass but it will be able to hit lower lows. Hopefully that is a good choice. I know every sub is probably different, but generally, is the loss in mid-bass significant?

Thanks

Do it @ 4 ohms based on what you've said about your amp.

Well, do you do more rap or rock? Rap, 12's. Rock, 10's (and 12's... and 8's... and 6's... rock is complex!)

Sorry for the super late reply! I've been straight up busy with just school and work. Anyways, I listen to both a lot but I tend to listen to more of rap in the car so I was thinking a 12" Ported.

I went to 2 diff places today (finally had the chance) and they both were really expensive for a custom box for the Sundown E12D4 V2 sub.

I came across Klaus Audio and apparently they build custom subs. Have you ever heard of them? This is a link for a custom 12". I'm thinking about going with them since I'm having trouble finding another cheap, legit option. http://www.klausaudio.com/subwoofer-...d=23&x=41&y=11 (for a 12")

If you aren't aware of any other sites, would you mind helping me out with some of this? I don't know what a lot of this means and don't know what to select (for example I have no idea what chambers/flared ports mean, terminal cups are, effects of front baffle, plexiglass, etc). Below is a pic from Sundown's website giving some recommended box enclosure specs but there is a lot of other stuff on Klaus I don't know the meaning of. Sundown also gives box dimensions and stuff on their site (http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.ph...v2-series.html).

It'd be much appreciated if you can help me out. I'm always really busy with work and school and researching all of this and properly learning it takes quite a while so it's easier to just get the help of an expert. After this I don't think I'll be messing with car audio for quite a while.

Okay so I've been sorting looking into this a bit since I've had some time today.

So the dual-layer baffle is used for supporting the weight of heavier subs? Since this sub isn't very big, is there any advantage to it with my sub? Any disadvantage?

I still am not too sure about the flared/slot ports. The site said if space isn't a concern, then go with slot port. Would you agree with that?

I've read that a lot of people aren't fans of terminal cups. This box comes with 1 no matter what. What is the point of a 2nd terminal cup. Should I?

Still not sure if I should get the Plexiglass top/bottom/both.
