I'm gonna say that unit isn't for everyone. If you're a beginner in car audio I don't think its necessary.

well no, its not necessary. But its a great alternitive for those that want great sound with out a DD kit. For about $400 (surround sound + 5 ch amp) you can have a system that will be much better than a aftermarket unit. (keeping the stock speakers) And you dont have to buy a $300 DD kit, you still get your 6 disc in dash changer as well as steering wheel controls. All while looking 100$ stock. If there is a less expensive way to do this that sounds better, Id like to have it too.
