Anyone know where the stock antenna is?

I got my stereo installed yesterday and now my radio reception is terrible. Does anyone know the location of the antenna so I can see what's wrong?

I have done a search and can't find exactly where they are. Does anyone know how to get to the antennas? DIY?

I have the same problem. We stipped the car down and checked the antennas per the Service Manual. We couldn't find a reason for the issue. I'm almost thinking that the amps and\or the power wires are causing interference in the stock antenna.

Note that it is a powered antenna. Did you hook up the signal indicator for the powered antenna?

What kind of amps do you have? Class D amps (often used to drive subs) often screw up radio reception.

Did you splice/connect the powered antenna wire on your wire harnesses when you swapped your HU? Did you hook up your antenna adapter to the stock antenna plug and then plug it into your HU?

These 2 things are the usual culprits to poor radio reception......it shouldn't be your stock antenna that's the problem...

Those sub amps often will simply ruin the AM radio reception. FM should still be OK.

No one has posted a solution? It would be great if someone could figure out why/how to fix this issue. I actually enjoy listening to the radio sometimes, but this is a real drag.

Remount the amp somewhere else in the car.
