So after spending a lot of time looking through these forums wondering how I broke my stereo and air con after I removed it, not to mention the money used to purchase a DD JDM surround and air con unit. I was pulling my stereo out of my 05 35 and right under the bottom of the stereo (just happens I had it on the side I could see under it while pulling the wiring out) I noticed a white ribbon that wasn't in its slot. As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what was going to happen once I connected it... Everything worked.
Seeing as I'm already half way to a new system, and who wouldn't want a new stereo system anyway I'm gonna keep going.
I hope this helps others from spending a lot of unwanted time and money on something that may be a very easy fix as this ribbon comes out VERY EASY.
That's cool but that post is if you KNOW that the ribbon is stuffed. This post explains what may be the problem if your radio and air con ain't working at all and you don't know about the ribbon... Why can't some people just be grateful
