Bought the double din kit for my 06 coupe. Now what?

Hello,

I just picked up a double din kit for m6 2006 coupe. What other accessories will I need to complete the install? I know I need a wiring harness and also an adapter for the steering wheel. Anyone know what else and where I can pick these items up? Thank you for your assistance.

You can pick up the items on amazon or Crutchfield depending on what type of double din unit your aiming for, Try going for a 7 inch double din it will sit more flush with the bezel.

I bought a metra steering wheel kit on amazon i think it was around 30 dollars.

There is a sticky at the top of this sub forum that has everything down to a detail on what you need to buy for a quality sound. Don't buy the Metra sound adapter it ruins stock Bose sound.

Thank you everyone for the prompt responses and assistance. This site is such a great resource! Ok, looks like I have mostly everything down. The only thing I'm confused about is which steering wheel control unit to get:

Amazon.com: Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface: Car Electronics

or

Amazon.com : PAC SWI-PS Steering Wheel Control Interface for Dual/Jensen/Pioneer/Sony (Discontinued by Manufacturer) : Automotive Steering Wheel Accessories : Car Electronics Amazon.com : PAC SWI-PS Steering Wheel Control Interface for Dual/Jensen/Pioneer/Sony (Discontinued by Manufacturer) : Automotive Steering Wheel Accessories : Car Electronics

The guide isn't very clear as to which one is needed for my car.

If you're not hooking up one of the three specifically named radios, you go with the ASWC-1.
