Audiophiles help needed!

Hey guys I know this has been gone over before but would like your opinion on my situation.
Recently bought a 03 auto coupe with the bose system. The rear deck right speaker is blown. I'm not overly happy with the sound but since I just bought the car I dont have much to spend. I gather that Infiniti will replace the speaker up to the 60K miles warranty mark...is this right? Also, if I were to replace the rear deck speakers is it just a simple install or do I need a different amp or anything? I can't really crank up the system to where I want it regardless of the blown speaker but since I dont have much to spend ($200) I'm not sure if i can get something noticably better for that price.
If anyone is familiar with B&W home speakers that is what I have and love. I keep hearing about the MBQuart but they might be a bit too tinty. Any idea of something a bit more like my B&W's?
Thanks

Man now that I think about it. Going to be tough since you're on a budget. If possible I would at least throw in an amplifier. Do something like this:
Diamond Audio S600s (ones with silk dome tweeters) and run those off a decent amp pushing min 50 watts per channel. If you have any more questions hit me up.

Well, if you're on that much of a budget, take a chance on e-bay. You could get some great speakers for dirt cheap, but no warrenty.

Yea, why bother being worried about a warrenty on crappy speakers? Instead, get great speakers for the same price as the crappy ones and probably never have to worry about not having a warrenty. Granted, everything you buy on Ebay you're taking a chance, but in your situation I feel it's the best bet for the $$.

But remember just because they are expensive speakers doesn't mean they won't crap out. All speakers if abused can crap out. Could also just be defective from the manufacturer. But thats the risk you take for paying so little.

For the money the Diamond Audio S600s are hard to beat. They can be had for about $300 on ebay.

Most speaker "blow" or "crap out" due to dirty amplification. Underpowered amps "clip" and cause distortion which damages speakers. Make sure to get a good amp to properly drive which ever speakers you choose.

I'm an Infinity Kappa fan myself. I think they sound great especially for the money. (link)

Good explanation as to why speakers blow.

There are many good speakers out there it really just comes down to personal preference. Go listen to as many speakers as possible because they will all sound different. Its no different from home audio, there are many flavors you just have to figure out what flavor you like.
