Picked up NIS Unit from Audio America in West Palm $60.

Man, its like a 45 minute drive up there! I would have bought a couple had I known, he sold it to me at cost, very nice of them.

 

Damnit, can you call him and ask him if he will ship it to me? I'm willing to pay $65 shipped! BTW, I picked up my AVIC-90 with all parts and NEW GOLD WEST COAST CD for $425 shipped =P

I just need the PAC unit and I'm ready for install!

I was told there are only two Navigation disks that will work in a avic-90DVD, they are the CNDV-20 and CNDV-21. The CNDV-21 upgrades tor use with a touchscreen but no upgrade to maps. Look here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...008422,00.html You might want to check more?

Hmm, I'll look into that. I haven't received my disc/unit yet so I was just going by the owners words... Bob, Check your PM! =)

 

Can you copy those discs and use in the stock players or do they need to be chipped?

 

I'm sure the Pioneer discs are only compatible with Pioneer navigation systems. If you were in SoCal I was going to say you are welcome to test it w/ your Stock Nav to see if it works...

 

from what pioneer says, the upgraded disc will only work with the pioneer touchscreen. that means that the one with the unit will have to do for now.

also does anyone know where the sound for the dvd player will come through if the SAT radio button is in use. will it come through the voice guidance speaker?

 

Possible to wire it through the AM receiver?

Just to clear up one question. The cndv-40mt is a upgrade disk set for the following Pioneer units: AVIC-80DVD, AVIC-90DVD, AVIC-9DVD according to the Pioneer web site:http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...582076,00.html
