Ordered Digital Wheelz 700TSV and AVIC-90DVD/Nav player
so you didn't mention the fact that you got it from Digitalwheelz?? because i'm thinking that i will just ask for a ribbon now before i get my screen and have the installer put the new ribbon in instead of using the one that came with the screen.
Like I said I don't remember exactly what I said, I did not mention Digital Wheelz or where I bought it from. He asked me for the receipt I said I didn't have it with me ( or at all! ) and that was that, he didn't make a big deal out of it. My installer said there's deffinately a difference in the ribbons and they probably know they old one's are garbage.
I am an authorized xenarc reseller and my contacts at Xenarc are fully aware of what I do to the screens and it is warrantied for any defects. If you do have problems though, you should contact me first.
well i installed my avic 90 and digitalwheelz screen (non touchscreen) this weekend and it looks fine. i now just have alot of reading to do on the nav. unit itself. i'd rather have this set up over the stock nav. cheaper, voice recon., plays dvds. nice set up god of cpu. thanks
Got to complain here:
Pioneer NAV System Blows, not only does look ****ty but this new version needs to come out very sooooon! Half the places I search for aren't there. And they have been there for ages! Anyone notice when you scroll the screen it looks perfect but when you stop it looks blurry ( well not blurry ) but not as clear??
Lots of Bass in my car make the screen vibrate a lot while im driving. Lines appear across the screen and I have to turn my music down at lights so people dont think my screens f'd up! Im going to try and fix that problem tommorow, how, dunno.. At least I will try and get it to look a little better.

I think the Pioneer NAV system is great. The only problem I can't figure out is how to shift my GPS location about 20-30 feet up. 2 seconds after I pass a light it will show me exactly at the intersection. In other words, the map location is a couple seconds behind where I'm actually at. And because my screen was oversized in width, the damn screen won't move anywhere LOL so I will have no rattle issues. I do have to use some force to pull the screen out though as well as tucking it back in the cubby...
I have a similar setup...I have the Avic80DVD Navigation in my trunk which is connect to my Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD headunit which plays DVDs, am/fm, CDs, Navigation and touchscreen...also with the pioneer head unit working with the pioneer avic80 I have the mute function (when you have a destinationprogrammed and the guidance voice speaks your music is muted)

1. You can do it by voice command.
2. They will layout a keyboard for you and you can use the remote to navigate to letters on the screen; It's fairly easy!
3. The quickest way is to enter the telephone number using the number pad on the remote. You can also say the phone number. The only problem is that the unit doesn't have a good database of phone numbers.
