Added 2 12’s

What’s good everyone! So I need some help!!! I just installed 2 12’s kicker comps with a 1200.1 kicker amp to my 08 G35 stock radio with Navi an Bose! My problems are that I can’t turn up the volume loud without the amp cutting out! I tried to adjust the LOC an that didn’t work, the gain on the amp is set very low an no bass boost on!! I can play it at a low volume but the subs kicking like they on high volume!! Can anyone help me please!!

Is your LOC hooked up before or after the Bose amp?

I would hook up the LOC before the signal got amplified. I would assume it would give u a more linear volume control on the subs.

Also, why dont u just turn up your speaker volume to whatever u like, and then adjust the gain on your kicker amp accordingly?

Skip the loc, wire directly to the stock subwoofer Amp.

I did do that! I used a voltage meter an all! But I can’t understand is why the amp cuts out at a loud volume!!! They beat hard as **** on a low volume an with u turn it up loud it starts to act all crazy!! I got a perfect ground to the chassis an the power wire has 100a fuse on it!!

The amp is probably cutting out as a safety feature because its being pushed too hard.

If you aren't running those plugs to an aftermarket head unit, you'd have to go off the wires for the rear speakers.

How often and at what rate is it cutting out?
Are connections on the amp good?
