Okay Guys and Gals, I had a new audio system installed my my 06 coupe. At the same time I had a steering wheel control interface installed which permitted me to use the steering wheel controls the same as with my stock stereo system. The issue I am now facing is that my Cruise control no longer works and the cruise control "SET" light flashes....can anyone shed some light on why this might be happening?

There's a good chance it's NOT related to your new audio system as I think those steering wheel switches are a separate circuit from the cruise control switches. There are a couple fuses to check. (Are your brake lights are working ok?) Something else you can try; next time you are moving along fast enough to use the cruise control, carefully pull back on the brake pedal a bit with your toe and see if it will engage. There are two switches on the brake pedal (and one on the clutch pedal for a MT) which need to be working correctly before the cruise will engage. If there's too much play in either pedal it can bump your cruise offline.

Just a couple ideas.

 

Could also be the clock spring, they're a known failure item in these cars.
