Radio doesn’t always work

So sometimes when I start my car my phone connects to the fm transmitter and it would show my song is playing, but no noise on the radio (yes the volume was turned up) and none of the radio stations have any audio or anything, then usually when I hop on the highway it will just start working without me actually doing anything, any ideas on how to get it to consistently work or what the problem is?

If u have a Bose system, it could be a failung amp or head unit.

If u dont have the Bose system, then its a failing head unit.

Yeah i have the bose sound system and it looks like the amp is failing, do u know any amps I should replace it with or the specifics like watts and ohms that I need to look for to make sure the new one will work?

Easiest would be to buy an OEM and just plug and play. There are a bunch on Ebay for around $100:

If you're leaning towards upgrading ... of course it can be done but be aware that can get complicated and costly.

Do you think trying to replace it with something like this could get complicated, like would it be plug and play or how complicated would it get? I appreciate the help man.

Yeah, you won't be able to plug and play anything other than an OEM amp. For example, the Bose amp has at least 4 channels, maybe even 6. 2-front doors, 2-rear shelf - two subs? (Not sure about the exact setup in your '04 coupe.) Because the "fade" control between front and back is done in the head unit not in the amp, if you see what I mean. If you really don't want to try another OEM amp then you'll want to get some help doing an upgraded install. Lot's of talented and experienced audio folks in here, but it can be costly and takes some work.
