Hello everyone. I have a 2004 g35 Coupe I bought as a project/daily. Since iv bought the car the radio has never worked I have no sound. That’s a side note I’ll start another thread for. But my current situation is my factory radio. When I crank the car no matter if it’s all night or 1 sec. The moment I switch ignition to ON my car the radio will factory reset and I have to power it on manually and all presets and everything are gone. Iv checked all fuses. Also everything other than the radio works in the car electrically. Just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this. I know there is a memory wire behind the radio but honestly really don’t want to tear it all apart if someone has a simple fix.
Also: I know the factory units are trash and need to be replaced but I just wanted to play some music until I get around to it.
The fuse that is supposed to supply constant power to the radio (both base and Bose head units) is #37 in the "Fuse and fusible link block". I'm not sure but I think that just hangs off the battery's + terminal? You said you checked but take another look at that one to be sure it's good.

ok I’ll double check here in a moment. I’m pretty sure that’s the one I checked first, but I’ll just replace it and see what’s happens.
Checked fuse and replaced it. Still nothing. When I turn ignition off the radio will stay on for literally a second then display fades away and resets right at that moment
Throw a multimeter on the constant power wire and see if it's dropping voltage at any time. If it isn't, it's something in the radio, and at its age, there isn't much reason to waste time on diagnosing it. Just replace with aftermarket, preferably, or at least a functional used one.

Ok I’ll check I don’t want to dive that deep into just wanted to see if there was a quick fix until I gather all the replacement stuff thanks for the reply’s.
