Thanks RRPNOW...I posted on what I thought were the most popular forums, not to "show off" my install but to make fellow G owners and not HATERS aware that it is possible to install and completely hide a nav unit in the cubby pocket without cutting heating/ac ducts

Yes my stock radio still works but no need for it because I now use my Pioneer head unit for sound

Hey I really like what you did with your clear corners. Could you tell me how you managed to open the housings? I believe its an ultrasonic weld holding them together so did you Dremel it? Any chance of seeing some pictures of the process? If you'd prefer to email them, send me a PM and I'll give you an email address to send them to. I'd really appreciate it a lot!

Awesome job on the cubby install. Bravo!

I'd love to see/read more info on the clear corners. Those look sharp. LEDs are great!

very nice setup.....

did you take any pix from the rear of the HVAC when it was removed from the dash to show how you mounted the HU?

That's interesting that you could fit the HU int here without cutting the AC ducts....I wonder why the other guy who mounted his AVIC in there had to cut his AC ducting......hmmmm.

Is your HU less deep than the AVIC?

Anyway, cool setup......have you modded your stock tape deck slot to be a rubbish bin? lol

kudos...
doc

The Pioneer AVH-P6600 and he Avic N1 are the exact same dimensions...I think because I mounted my unit beyond the 30 degree angle..more like 45 degree I was able to avoid the ducts
