I did not feel like cutting through that amp bracket and some of my wire runs would not make it to that far corner (just a bit short - doh!).

I did not actually take the car jack out (I do fear if I did that it would be asking for a blown tire). I just took out that bulky plastic holder for it. I wrapped up all of the tools in bubble wrap, including the jack, and wedged it against the tire and the back of the trunk - easy and secure and much more compact. That freed up a whole lot of space on the right side of the trunk.

I like your custom case - very compact. Do you get any hard drive activity "noise" on your LCD screen? Mine is very faint, but it's there and it bugs me. I'm thinking to run 16 ga. speaker wire from the 12V output of the OPUS to power the LCD in the front console - that power source should be cleaner.

Hoo-man: the sub probably has a nice strong magnet that is not shielded - so besides the vibration, you have to worry about the magnetic field. I would consider a "remote" (usb?) hard drive someplace away from the woofer. Most PCs these days can boot from a USB device - but it depends on how new your BIOS is. If you can, move the entire PC away from the speakers.

macD13 - good luck with the install. If you want to make it look like the DW screen - I recommend removing the center console (use the instructions at the DW site - I don't think he'd mind) then take out the cubby and see how to work in the screen. Once you take the cubby plastic out, there is quite a bit of space left over. If you realize your in over your head, I think Chuck is planning on offering a kit for people who already have a screen... Good luck.
