Escort SR7 Plus

Anyone ever use that? If you have please leave some details... I was thinking about getting that... It comes with the detector and the jammers... I see it online for a bout 1,499 ish... But I was thinking, why spend that much, when I can get the Escort Passport 8500 x50 and the Escort ZR3 for about half that... Any ideas on how much stronger the Escort SR7 is compared to the x50... I assume the jammers are the same, because the Escort SR7 is 1,099 or something, so any feedback would be awesome...

I have done a bit of research (but haven't made a purchase). Reviews on the NET seem to indicate that the "Blinder" is the top of the line laser jammer and is actually cheaper than that offered by Escort or Bel (for front laser jamming anyway).

The other problem with the "integrated" installs is apparently decreased sensitivity having the radar antenna lower down (near the front grill as opposed to up by the rear view mirror). Given that the best radar units are either the V1, the X50, or the RX65 Pro - I personally have been leaning toward one of those (probably the RX65 Pro) paired with the Blinder M20. I haven't taken the plunge yet as I actually would really like the integrated "stealth" install and not have to worry about the unit being stolen. I just saw a nice remote V1 install on this board with the V1 on the rear deck - very interesting.

Just my opinion after reading half a dozen articles though...

I have the SR7 and it has performed as well as any radar detector I have owned. I used it in my '03 G35 and in my accord; I have to install it in my '05 G35 now.

I asked myself the same questions you are asking yourself. I went with the Escort 8500 X50+ Escort ZR3 Shifters because, on the SR7 the radar coverage was only directed toward the front of the vehicle, while on the 8500 X50 the radar coverage was front and back.
