Finally, Pics of my ENTIRE Double Din Conversion!

So without further ado.. here we go:

A Full Vertical shot of my Dash:

A Close up of my Alpine 9835:

A Close up of Alpine 9835 at Night:

A Close up of the Alpine AmpLink settings for Mono amp like Voltage,Amperage, and Temp (lil out of focus, sorry! )

A CloseUp of Diamond Graphite Colormatched XMAntenna:

A Full Trunk Shot of the DG XM Antenna:

A Shot of the 4080 Sub box for the Sedan:

A Shot of the Amps (Mono on right) with 6CD Mp3 changer:

Finally, a shot of the distribution block I'm using to run power for the amps:

My Components are JL XR Components, I have a pair of Eclipse Coaxials for fill, and the sub is a JL 10W3v2-d2.

Opinions? Mind you, about 80 percent of this was done DIY between me and my old man (exception being running speaker wire/install of speakers) Even harsh criticisms are welcome, but anyone who went to the SFL meet 2 weekends ago loved it and that was before we put the mono amp!

It looks very clean, matches and all!

Did you buy some kind of adapter kit for the double din?

used two pieces of 1/4 inch board (like used in countertops) there's actually two spots where you can use for support on each one (the bar goes diagonally) so believe it or not they are held by one screw (albeit VERY tightly against it)

thanks everybody! I know the wires are a mess, I have to clean them up a bit.

I just wish I knew someone in South Florida who is good at tuning car audio. I could really use the help in fine tuning everything.

1)Thanks on the tails
2)I had it on my rear deck, but it kept cutting out. Putting it on the trunk actually doesn't bother me, and even less now that it's colormatched. The guys from colormatchedantennas are running a deal where first 5 (now 4 I believe) who get an XM Micro antenna colormatched for $10 off.. great deal to jump at!

I bought the double-din from Godzilla back in December. You see, I had the forsight to see that the AC controllers would be a BITCH to find when I was finally getting around to doing it, so I bought them back then and just kept them waitin to pull the trigger.

Concerning the headunit, the CDA-9835, I WAS originally lookin at its' replacement, the CDA-9855, but the glidestrip instead of buttons just wasn't working in my opinion, I prefer real physical buttons.

In terms of difficulty, that all depends if you have Premium.. if you do, you need to (or know someone who does) solder the button off the old controller board and put it on the new one. If you don't have premium, you can overlook that step. The DIY guide that is around (docron wrote it) is top notch, every step is covered in detail. All things considered, it wasan't too bad, just pretty time consuming (especially since I had to run the RCAs, the Amplifierlink cable, the XM tuner and smart adapter, and the XM Antenna, plus a turn-on wire.) It took about 12 hours of work, but it was ALL worth it.
