Suggest the BEST Wireless FM modulator out there!
I am having trouble finding a good wireless FM modulator, so if you know of anyt hat have worked well, please let me know. I am not going to go with the hardwired route because I will be getting the PAC AAI-NIS unit later down the line and don't want to spend too much, but am willing to spend a decent amount for decent sound for now. Thanks in advance!

Save yourself time and frustration
Dude,
Apply the dollars from a modulator and search ebay for the PAC unit...You get what you pay for....I tried 3 different modulators plus every type of noise reduction solution-- before going with PAC and you cant compare the sound quality between the two.....Modulators are just a poor quality solution for audio....
Just my 2 cents.....

I would but I forgot to mention that I am actually using my Sirius right now and have no plans of discontinuing it for a while...
I already recognize that there will be a sound difference in terms of quality, so I am lookin for the best (fm mod) out there until things change for me.
So any takers?

I'm thinking I'll go this way before trying the adapter method. I'm also posting a new thread since I dont' have and IPOD and want to do something more innovative with my IPAQ.

good wireless FM modulator = oxymoron.
You're taking a digital signal, then analoging it, then back to digital. Go the PAC route. Search for DYI boards for solutions on how to hook it up with an existing XM radio.

I have personally used the Griffin iTrip, Belkin Tune Cast 2, and the Monster iCar Play Wireless Plus...
iTrip - Very poor sound quality... It sounds like you got the treble and turned it down to about 25% of what you would normally listen to it at... Also had some issues with other stations bleeding in... (read below for more) If you are using an iPod, you have to install their software, which is a series of tracks which tell the iTrip what station to set to... I deleted them and left the 2 I used, but still not a good option... Plus it kills your battery in about half the time... I do not recommend this option...
Belkin Tune Cast 2 - Didin't work unless I held it by my rear window... Worse than I would think possible... I'm thinking I got a bad one, but I wasn't taking a chance... Do not buy this product...
Monster iCar - Better than the iTrip in every way... Sound quality is still poor, but noticibly better... I would say it's like turning your treble down to about 50-75% of what you normally listen to it at... Not what I would consider good, but better than the iTrip... The iCar also charges your iPod and pauses/turns off with the key... I did not have a problem with stations bleeding, as it seems the iCar transmits stronger than the iTrip... Sometimes I would get in the car and I would be receiving a station transmitting, but as soon as the iCar would kick in, there were no problems... (So not all fm mods are alike) I still do not recommend this product, but it does work better than the iTrip...
Overall, I would say the FM mods are not very good when it comes to sound quality... When I purshased them, I was kind of skeptical as to how bad they could be... They are as bad as you have read... The best advice I could give is to purchase somewhere where you can return it if you are not happy... Also, don't pass judgement right away... Drive around with it for awhile and see what you think... I found at first I was accepting of the loss in sound quality, but after a couple of days I couldn't stand it... I'm presently using a tape adaptor which sounds great, looks ugly (Damn that wire) so I'm waiting on either the PAC or the Dension solution... Which ever comes first...
FWIW...
