anyone running a 1000w+ class D amplifier?
I am thinking about upgrading my subwoofer amp. I was thinking about getting the Elemental Design NINe.1 which is rated at 1200watts

Any one running a 1000 watt+ amplifier? Do you have any problems with hesitation/jerky shifting, or major light dimming?

Cheers,
Nice amp. In my eclipse i was running this:

JBL bp1200
I ran a Lightning Audio 1.0 farad Capacitor next to the amp just for safety. I'll be moving this setup to my G in the next week or so.

i have jl's 1000/1 (1000watts rms) amp but i have a 5 farad cap and an extra battery. works flawless but im not sure about how long your stock battery will last with that kind of load. dont want to get stuck without juice!

I'm running a ~1200watt Kicker class D amp with 2 10" solobaric subs and a Stinger 1.5 farad Capacitor. no problems so far... no light dimming... just tons of bass all the time
actually i did have one problem... my box kept getting ripped off it's mounts. The guys at car audio shop were like "you drive really fast huh?"
