anyone running a 1000w+ class D amplifier?

I am thinking about upgrading my subwoofer amp. I was thinking about getting the Elemental Design NINe.1 which is rated at 1200watts

Any one running a 1000 watt+ amplifier? Do you have any problems with hesitation/jerky shifting, or major light dimming?

Cheers,
Nice amp. In my eclipse i was running this:

JBL bp1200

I ran a Lightning Audio 1.0 farad Capacitor next to the amp just for safety. I'll be moving this setup to my G in the next week or so.

According to the spec sheet, that amplifier runs at 500 w RMS

I plan on running 1200 watts RMS.

wouldn't a cap and an extra put more strain on the alternator?

I'm running a ~1200watt Kicker class D amp with 2 10" solobaric subs and a Stinger 1.5 farad Capacitor. no problems so far... no light dimming... just tons of bass all the time

actually i did have one problem... my box kept getting ripped off it's mounts. The guys at car audio shop were like "you drive really fast huh?"

the light dimming i can deal with, I just don't want to deal with jerky shifting everytime I turn up the volume
