Av Electronics Confrimed To Work With 2005 Models

Yep, its been confrimed with someone who has it done and is now selling his car on ebay. I talked to "s2kmugen" and he said he has the AV ELECTRONICS unit, and according to his pics on ebay (he's selling his car), it seems to work just fine. But there is still wire cutting! So for those who can't wait for a cheaper alternative...AV ELECTRONIC NAV-DVD module works!

Here is the link to the pics of the actual thing in action...scroll down a bit:

I am now sad...

i think the issue wasn't that it wouldn't work with the 05's. but rather, the picture quality was not good. from the ebay listing, there aren't any good pics of a dvd movie in action. i would actually wait until we get word from the manufacturer or installers for actual confirmation.

No...you misunderstood the problem. The problem is a rolling screen caused by either a filter or sync problem (whatever it is it's with the module, not Infiniti LCD). This occured EVEN with a rear view camera on the PAC unit. To sum it up, if it can display the rear view camera nicely, then it can play DVDs perfectly too. And as said by a few vendors who have sold the AV ELECTRONICS unit to 2005 owners, they haven't had any complaints, which also leads me to believe that AV Electronics works (and it does). The type of input makes no difference.

if you say so....but, personally, i would want to wait until there are more reliable confirmations. i wouldn't consider an ebay listing as such. just my two cents.

FYI, the dvd quality for the avelectronic will be the same whether its an 03-04 or the 05 screen... it depends on whether you use the s-video input or the composite video input. Sync was the problem with the NavBox unit because it was specific to the 03-04 models, while the avelectronic unit is a universal type that you can use with other car nav systems. I'm not sure about the PAC or NavTV units but I thought they were also universal so they should work...

Ok...I guess we're almost there. Now waiting on PAC I guess. Does it matter at all that PAC's website says it supports 2005 G35?

Thats what we thought, but we prooved them wrong. You will not find one person with an 05 and anything other than AV unit who says it works...AV isn't universal actually...you've got it backwards...PAC and the others are.

Ok, I've looked around the forums, but I'm a little confused.

I've got an '05 Sedan with stock Nav, I'd like to put in a Rear View Camera, and a DVD player.

What is the best unit to do this with that doesn't use FM Modulation for the DVD sound?

AV ELECTRONICS UNIT and if you don't have Satellite Radio, the PAC AAI-NIS. End of Story.

Or you could always replace the PAC AAI-NIS with a wireless or wired FM modulator. Some argue the quality won't be the best but I have the Myron Davis ANT 108 wireless FM mod, and its the best out there...it was even suggested by someone in the car audio/sound industry. Comes with 4 different channels so if your driving through an area that actually broadcasts with that channel, you can change it with a click of a button. I get CD/DVD quality sound with this FM Mod...but to each his own.

You have no choice in term of video box though, AV or die. (AV or nothing works is what I mean)

Hi Everyone
The G35 mod involves that you cut 4 wires and splice in. There is no plug and play for this car because it does not use standard nissian, infinity connectors.
The mod has 2 inputs 1 for DVD and 1 for backup camera. The unit auto switches to backup camera when you put the car in reverse. Yes the Mod works on the 05 G35 and 06 M35. The RGB mod is $200. If you want to check out our service and quality you can go to

http://www.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=306979

one of the many forums we do group buys on. You will see that we have sold over 100 mods alone on this forum with 100% customer satisfaction.
We have RGB units for every model car and we provide the best RGB units at the best prices around. We will NEVER be undersold. We also offer many plug and play solution. Feel free to call us at 718-763-7367.

Does anyone know what rearview camera that is on that car? It looks like a Pioneer one, but I don't think it is because it's shaped differently.

That one is perfect for my future rearview camera install!!
