How large of a spacer can we use before the front of the driver makes contact with the door panel?
I am trying to figure out how to get a 3.25" deep driver in there.
Thanks

no progress has been made to date.........been traveling too much last month....but i am back on the rears right now.........1 problem i have with the current box design is it sticks down into the trunk area too far.....could barely squeeze my suitcase in the trunk! I will reduce the height and give it more volume by increasing the width to increase the thump....i'll post pics after i get the new design printed in a few days....

Excellent work, looks great. Alot of speakers would like to have a bit more air than a sealed rear, have you tried both ways yet? I like the look of the ABS, but any resonating issues?
You could have possibly saved me a bit of time mounting my 8s...
For the sedan owners, I believe the clearance was just about 2"

Pearl05G.....i agree that the first enclosure i made was too small and did not allow enough volume to sound good, so i removed it and currently have the rear of the front speakers open to the door cavity......i like the sound of a sealed enclosure though.......cause it produces nice tight bass.......so i will continue experimenting and see if i can fit a larger sealed enclosure in there.....i do have my rear deck 6.5 inch woofers in an larger enclosure and they do give a little more mid bass punch....not enough IMO so there is more experimenting there as well.......it will take a while though since i am working on performance mods at the moment
