I'm curious, I read another DYI article where someone installed a Clarion reciever, plugging it onto the factory head unit. His car had not been prewired (to the trunk) but was able to plug the reciever directly into the back of the factory stereo. My question is, if my car is indeed prewired, can I use another kind of reciever that would plug into the harness in my trunk?
