Speaker hookup, impedence and options - urgent help needed
The urgent is because I wan to put in the Infinity 60.2's I just got and provide you all with a review. So any help today would be appreciated.
The issue that I am thinking about revolves around the two seperate amp feeds from the stock Bose amp. If memory serves, right now there is a direct feed from amp to tweeter and a direct feed from amp to 6.5" driver.
I am replacing both speakers. In the case of the tweeter, the stock is 4ohm, and the 60.2's are 2ohm. In the case of the mid, the stock is 2ohm and so is the 60.2 replacement.
Here's the thought... do I wire using one of the factory feeds, leaving the other unconnected (infinite resistance) then run through the replacements' cross over? Do I hook them up with inline caps and run each off its own factory feed?
If I go with one, do I wire off the tweeter wire since it potentially is providing more power (designed for 4ohm, but will be feeding two speakers at 2ohm?)
ay ya ya. What to do!?
Electronic giants unite - please provide some tips.

P.S. the speakers themselves look pretty good. The magnets are no great shakes, but the rubber surrounds and the cones look top notch.
