D DIN A/C board parts?

Just wondered if anyone attemped to source the parts for the dual zone modification,
instead of removing them from the original board?

I was just thinking it would be nice to leave the original board intact,
to put the HU back to stock when selling the car.

Well, just to answer my own question.....

Just took the covers off the A/C board ('04);
- was surprized that the LED & term. resistor were factory installed!
- I have located a switch that may work (see pic)
the terminal footprint is the same & height.
it's a standard 4mm SMD switch, available at most electronic component outlets.
I found this one at Electrosonic in Toronto.
The J-hook type, would be the right contact shape.

I'm going to pick one up in the next few days, I'll post my findings when it comes in.

FWIW;
After looking at the board I would recommend a hot air soldering tool,
instead of a normal iron.
This will prevent potential heat damage to the rest of the board.

LED and resistor only need to soldered on the 05 A/C controller. Since you have a 04 only the button needs to be transfered.

Thanks guys....
Never thought of the SAT button.
We buy parts for work from this supplier,
so I'll probably get one just to see if its the same.
