DIY amp install

I just picked up the G this morning and want to install my old equipment. I'll be ordering the 4080 box very soon and connecting my flat cone elemental designes woofer. Where are you guys getting the signal to convert to the RCA's? My amp has the speaker level inputs, so I might not even need the LOC. Also, what are you guys using for the remote to turn on the amp?

Edit: BTW, its the non blose head unit.

I found this on the forums which helped during my install. Just tap into the wire harness in the trunk to get the signals if you're using the stock HU. This wiring layout works for my Bose HU although it is missing the two rear deck signal wires that I decided not to connect. I'm not sure if they are the same for your non-Bose HU though.

Here is the head to amp wiring for the coupe:

rear left = lg + pu -
rear right = l (+) p (-)
front left = w + or -
front right = or/l + w/l -

control = sb (light blue)
backup = y/r

Legend:
b= black
blue = l
brown/tan = br
light green = lg
green = g
dark green = dg
grey = gy
orange = or
pink = p
purple = pu
red = r
white = w
yellow = y
