12" will give you deeper bass than the 10". Depends on what kind of music you listen to. If you want your car to boom boom boom as you drive down the road or are you trying to listen to music.

Not really explaining it well. But depends on the type of sound you are trying to get out of your car. Whatever place is selling you the equipment better be able to explain to you about what they are selling. Also ask you the questions then recommend what you should buy. Go to a few different shops.

10 s are tighter and faster, but not as deep...12s are a lot deeper but cant respond as quickly and tightly as the 10s. if you really want bass that can be heard outside of your ride go bigger. but if you really dont care about showing off, then go with 10s. go with a mono channel amp regardless of what size speaker and try to match up the speaker's rms handling to the amps rms output. L7's are realy good subs. they are a good price too. performance close to jl's w6 model. if you want a true time tested performer go with the jlw7 model line. cant beat those. they also sell a 13w7 sub...thats hot!

Enclosure type and build have more to do with sub bass performance than size alone. I have built and heard systems with 8" subs that have out performed 15" subs in sub bass performance. Now that you have settled on a 10" sub, make sure you construct the appropriate enclosure to accomodate your sub. Good listening.

kicker 10" are almost as deep as normal 12" round subs since the surface area on the L7's is almost the same as a round 12". but kickers do need big ported boxes to sound loud and sealed boxes to sound clean. or so i think from my expereince

I used to sell car audio for Tweeter and I would suggest the JL audio amps. I have a single 10w3 and a JL 250/1. As long as it's in a good box (have a professional build your box, well worth a little extra), the single 10 can hit as hard or harder than a 12 or 15. I have also sold the L7's and they are nice. I would do at least the 250/1, but more power is always better, so get the 500/1 if it's in the budget.

Where are you located? My roomate has 2 Kicker Solo-Barics, 12in, I believe L5 in a custom box. He is junking his camry and just wants to get rid of them. I already sold the amp to a co-worker but I think he'll do $200 for both subs including the box. Pickup for NJ. No shipping.
