Ok, when removing the clock trim pieces in order to do a DD conversion, one of the white clips fell down into the abyss... it didn't stay connected to the trim piece like all the others, so it must have not been seated properly... anyway, Infiniti is telling me that you can't buy the clips you have to buy the whole trim piece, but half the dash uses these same clips so I'm thinking that there must be a way to get a clip by itself... anybody else go through this before and come up with a part number?

why don't you just take a clip from somewhere else on the dash that isn't (that) essential and use it for the clock trim? Just a thought.

I thought about doing that, but in my **** world, there is no such thing as a non essential clip, i'm just paranoid that any missing clip could lead to a rattle, etc... Just bugs me that Infiniti wouldn't have a part number for these items... of course, I'm not entirely convinced that this is the case just because the parts guys said so... I've had plenty of times where I'd call 3 different dealers and get 3 different answers from parts guys depending on how well they knew their systems...

 

go to home deopt or somewhere, bring one of the other clips and see if they have one... they might...
