My SAT (Sirius) Hookup
My SAT (Sirius) Hookup
I went with the Sirius Starbase. I didn't care about the FM Turner because I was planning on hardwiring it into my PAC unit. I talked down my local SoundAdvice to 120$ for the unit (normally 160$-190$). I choose this unit because of its size. The OEM SAT hookup from Infiniti (300$) was out of the question, because I would lose the ability to use my Ipod, the PAC unit enables me to use either.
I really need to stop modding, but here is a few pics of my Sirius SAT Install. I'm getting too lazy to update my iPod playlists. I installed the SAT Antenna on the back rear deck where the 6x9’s are, I get great reception even in parking garages. I already have the PAC unit installed, so now I can have use my iPod (SAT Ch 1) or Sirius (SAT Ch 2) without losing the voice commands of the stock NAV.
I ran the RCA's from the PAC unit that I previously installed in my center console to my trunk.
I am waiting for my EQ to come in, to install it after the CleanSweep.
