i have my bass boost at +6, q at 1.5 uhm wutelse...

do you guys use the bass boost or turn it off? or does that make it sound sloppy?

im trying to get a nice SQ setup going and was wondering how you guys had yours setup on the amp and at the headunit...

in a SQ system, ppl usually dont use bass boost right? i find it overpowering sometimes, so im not sure

I suggest you first insert your favorite cd, then raise the volume, and slowly play with the amp controls. This is what a high end audio shop will do. This will make it sound good for you!, which is most important.

Yeah, I wouldn't use the bass boost. Do you have access to an oscilloscope? I purchased one off the internet to set the gains to prevent ANY clipping. Not sure if you know, but the manual for the 10w7 has a baseline for JL's recommended settings for that amp/sub combo.
