I just re-installed my stock head unit since my crappy Alpine won't eject and I've found the stock unit has waaaay more bass than the Alpine. Even with the Alpine EQ bass cranked it didn't even come close to 0 bass on the stocker.

Did anyone else find this difference?

which alpine did you have? and what kind of amps did you use?

 

something doesnt sound right.. did you change the speakers? did you wire everything properly? is the subw output on?

 

No, you had a problem with your Alpine, or Alpine install.

 

The deck is a 9853 and early models may have a problem with ejecting.

I have replaced the amp and speakers and added a sub but since they are all the same I thought the difference was with the head unit.

The only other differences are the RCA and the remote turn on wire. I have an LOC in the trunk from my 1st upgrade so I didn't re-use RCA's that I'd run to the front through the center console.

I'll ask by dealer to bench test the Alpine hu when I take it in for repair.

Definately sounds like a HU problem to me. Although if your using a LOC, do you have the gain on it cranked way up?

 

you should take your alpine deck back to the place you bought it from and get a replacement cause they had a recall on all the motorized face decks.
