what length cord did you order? 6" or 8"? I want the shortest cord possible...wondering if 6" is long enough?

i'll be using mikes mount w/ a V1

 

If you have wire or twine around, cut about a 6.5" and an 8.5" section, and then try to measuring which fits best. If your detector is going to be mounted such that the phone jack is really close to the harness (right under the mirror, suction mount next to the mirror), 6" should be enough.

by the way, what are the yellow and black wires used for? i'm trying to install a bypass switch for my concealed display.
