When there are multiple bogeys, can you tell the individual type and strength of each bogey?

thanks
It will go to the stronger of the two or three and give you the direction of that signal. as signals change it will change directions and strengths to reflect the new closest signal.

I've had a Bel 980 before which I loved but disregarding cost, the V1 is certainly better. The usual debate I hear is eh...if I hear it beep I slow down. That statement is fine but if the question is which one is best, I would say the one that gives you more information (in this case counter/arrows) would be the best.
Both of them probably give similiar range imo.

I have a V1 now and I love it.

tiny little red lights light up next to a not lit white letter....

really hard to see

but here is a perfect example of this system sucking. What is strongest the X or Ka signal? Which is in front the X or Ka?

V1 is the best, you can upgrade, arrows make it that much better, known as the one that has the best laser dectection, ya maybe dated looking but who cares it works, most sensitive but will save your a$$ if needed,

How will laser dectection save your @ss? If you shot from in front or behind, your still dead! Did you even read the thread before posting...????

The picture can't show the lights blinking, but if the radar sees the front as a bigger threat, the front arrow will blink, and so will the light next to either X or Ka. For example, if there is a X band radar behind you and Ka in front of you, and the radar determines the one in front is a bigger threat, the front arrow will blink and so will the Ka light. By this you know that the front is Ka and the back is X band.

Okay but what if the big threat is in front yet the Ka is behind you? So they both blink? The bigger threat blinks? But Ka blinks and behind you blinks. What if they are both Ka or 2-3 or more threats? Do they all blink? Ka (big threat in front) blinking, small threat ka behind you not blinking. Then wham! You get nailed by an X band to your left, or wait right.........Damn it left or right???

Also shouldn't you just slow down? I mean all this blinking and flashing and beeping.......Slow down? Right?

who fvck are you with these comments i read what i needed to read, with the V1 laser saved them, go to radardetector.net and read the posts person with V1 had the laser shown on his dectector and slowed down, before the laser got the reading, it shot the car but i guess its not instant, not sure exactly how it works, but it saved people from gettin caught with laser.

1% of the time.....you will get a laser warning from another shot before you are clocked. I admit the V1 has longer, "oops your dead" laser warning.

If you remember old chap, we have a truce?

Hmmm, laser travels at the speed of light. I doubt anyone can slow down after they get hit by laser. The only chance you have is some scatter off the guy in front of you (the beam is really narrow unlike radar). Best defense against laser is not to detect it, but to "shift" it.

Yes it does. And I have the V1, and so far so good. And I do like the arrow option.

If the big threat is is in front of you, then X blinks, and Ka remains solid. Only the bigger threat blinks. No, they both do not blink.

Quote: But Ka blinks and behind you blinks. What if they are both Ka or 2-3 or more threats? Do they all blink? Ka (big threat in front) blinking, small threat ka behind you not blinking.???
If they are both Ka, the Ka light remains solid, and the bigger threat blinks on the arrow(front or back). If there is two or three threats the bogey counter says 2 or 3. Only the bigger threat blinks, you will not see two lights blinking at the same unless its the X, K, or Ka and an arrow. You are correct, if the small threat Ka is behind you it does not blink, and the big threat in front of you ka does blink.

Quote: Then wham! You get nailed by an X band to your left, or wait right.........Damn it left or right???
Impossible. You cannot get hit by radar from either left or right. Its impossible to get a speed reading in this scenario.

Quote: Also shouldn't you just slow down? I mean all this blinking and flashing and beeping.......Slow down? Right?
Absolutely. Once you see it light up like a christmas tree slam on your brakes! The advantage comes when you pass a cop that you think is the only threat and speed up again, with the radar sounding, thinking its the radar from the cop you just passed, when in reality there are more cops ahead. By the time you realize this with a regular radar, it might be too late.

Somebody mentinoned this... If both radars are similar in response and range, then the best one, irregardless of price, is the one that gives you more information, is it not? Now, when you compare price vs. performance is when all this crap starts.

Maybee you don't read! Laser, X, K, or KA does not work from the side. You can only get shot from the front or back!!! So boy genius when the side light goes off , you know you are passing the given target ( Bank ,Cop, or 7-11). Plus you are an angry child about this topic. Sounds like you need a Zanex or some sedatives...( or sell that 8500 x50 ) for $100, save up $350 more and get a V1!!
