aftermarket Nav w/ tv tuner?

planning to get the DW2.0 screen. i'd much prefer a tv tuner than a dvd player with the NAV, never will watch a whole damn movie anyway, but i'd take it if its got it. so anybody out there have a NAV/TV/(DVD)? or even for double-din?

Is it possible to plug in a laptop via a cable to watch a DVD from the laptop?

Av unit has a built in tv tuner...but since ur going DW2, you wont need the module...so look for a tv tuner by itself...they tend to be expensive where has if you get a DVD player with built in tv tuner, it'll run you about 120 bucks.

TV tuners are a complete waste of money IMHO. I try to deter all of my customers from getting them. Picture it this way...old school TV in your home with "rabbit ear" antenna...now try moving with it too.

^ Exactly...reception is crappy...you will get annoyed VERY quickly. The best reception is on the freeways...I honestly avoid them...unles they are built in ofcourse.

wow sounds good to me. I dont care about reception, I like to listen to news and other crap.

I am getting an AV Tuner for the 2003 G coupe, I hope it has the tuner in that version.

Who makes that DVD / Tuner, and where can I find it?

Both are the same generic type but each company slaps on thier own label. The directron ones, you wont pay tax unless your in Texas and it ships for SoCal. The FD-7 is in Canada, so you'll never pay taxes. I ordered from directron, other on this site have ordered from MP3playerstore with no problems.

cool, thx. That canada one includes that huge intenna hehe, that will be funky lookin on the rear glass. The tuner looks bulky, I assume you gotta reach below the seat for it since it wont fit in the glovebox
